Skinvive is not a dermal filler

Skinvive is uniquely designed to enhance skin hydration and smooth texture, primarily in the cheek area—not to add physical volume like the Juvéderm and Restylane dermal fillers. Skinvive does share some similarities to these popular fillers, as it is also made with hyaluronic acid (HA). Aside from already occurring naturally in our bodies, one of the most significant advantages of HA is its ability to attract and retain moisture in the skin. Skinvive’s HA content deeply moisturizes your skin to help smooth lines and uneven skin texture for a youthful, dewy glow.

The microdroplet technique

Skinvive’s advanced intradermal microdroplet technique, which has been used outside the U.S. for ages to create the “glass skin” effect, is key to achieving the product’s signature hydration and smoothness. We place several tiny droplets of Skinvive’s hydrating gel just below the skin’s surface. The microdroplet injection technique is quite different from the fewer, deeper injections we use for dermal fillers. 

We strategically place small Skinvive injections throughout the cheeks for optimal skin hydration and smoothness. 

Your Skinvive glow-up treatment

We typically use a 1mL syringe of Skinvive per cheek, and because this injectable contains a numbing agent, the quick injections are easily tolerated with zero downtime required. Like all injectables, there are a few simple aftercare guidelines, such as delaying strenuous exercise and avoiding excessively touching treated areas to limit swelling and keeping the product in precise locations.

The results are worth the wait

If you already enjoy the effects of our premium injectables, you’re used to seeing immediate results with dermal fillers and final results with Botox® and Daxxify® in 2 weeks or less—but Skinvive needs a little more time to work its magic. Patients typically start noticing some visible improvements in skin hydration and texture within a few weeks, with the full effects visible after about four weeks when the hydrating gel has had time to plump and hydrate your skin. With a little bit of patience, most patients experience naturally beautiful results for up to 6-9 months.
