This 18-year-old female was bothered by the large size and unevenness of her breasts. She had been self-conscious about this since puberty and sought Dr. Reedy’s advice to, not only reduce the size of the breasts, but to address the asymmetry issue. The 5’4”, 193 pound patient was wearing a 38 DDD bra. She had frequently used over the counter pain medication, physical therapy and pain management to attempt to relieve symptoms of neck, back and shoulder pain. Dr. Reedy was able to achieve a beautiful result by removing two and a half pounds of breast tissue. He was able to address the asymmetry issue and reduce the breasts to a more comfortable 40D size which kept the patient’s body in proportion. The patient also reported a reduction in all of her preoperative symptoms which markedly improved her lifestyle.
