The patient is a 50-year-old female concerned with excess skin at the upper eyelids and skin tightness, tone, and texture of the face and neck. Preoperatively, the patient did a wonderful job maintaining her skin to the best of her abilities with the use of nonsurgical treatments and products. Despite these efforts, the patient was bothered by the excessive skin of the upper eyelid and the wrinkles and unevenness in tone and texture that were appearing with age. After consulting with Dr. Reedy, the patient elected to have bilateral upper lid blepharoplasty with a Fraxel treatment to the face and neck. Dr. Reedy was able to achieve a beautiful, yet subtle result with this combination of treatments. The patient was quite pleased as her eyes were more open and relaxed and the wrinkles that she had started to notice had all but disappeared. She felt that her skin was tighter, smoother and more even in tone and texture than ever before.
